CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
The default markup for Web documents with which you can control the appearance of their elements, namely color, size, location and other display settings. Used in conjunction with XHTML or XML. The main purpose of the CSS technology-separation of content and presentation of the document. CSS also allows you to represent the same document in different styles or methods, such as the on-screen presentation, printing, reading voice, etc.
Represents a set of rules that can be placed inside the Web page or in a separate file. Maximum efficiency is achieved when using a single file, as in this case, the same rules apply to all pages in the site, giving them a design style. In addition, the browser loads the stylesheet file only once, which saves bandwidth and faster rendering pages.
The latest version is CSS3, but browsers at the moment supports only version of CSS2, the official specification which is located at: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2, and in the Russian language-http://loc.stack.ru/projects/CSS2/cover.html.
