DNS (Domain Name Sistem)

Website Hosting

Performs several functions, but its main task is to convert the domain names of computers on the Internet at the IP addresses and vice versa (reverse DNS query).

DNS is a client-server system. Information about the computers IP addresses and corresponding domain names are stored in a distributed database that resides on many DNS servers-servers (name server) names. These servers automatically communicate with each other and respond to client requests (resolver) over UDP or TCP port 53. Therefore, all hosts on the Internet must be DNS clients, and some of them should work as server names.
