Routing

Website Hosting

The process of sending data through the network package, located between the sender and the addressee. Data routing in TCP/IP and routes are in the form of rules that are stored in a special table called a routing table.

T.o. routing first is the procedure for finding the network address in the routing table, the second is the process of building this table.

Routing can be static and dynamic. A static route is a route that explicitly and remains in the routing table throughout the system. Static routing is effective for stable local network. For networks with complex topology requires dynamic routing. It is performed by special processes that form and modify the routing table and communicate through routing protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF).
