TCP-Transmission Control Protocol
The main transport layer protocol in the TCP/IP protocol designed for delivery of data between hosts in computer networks. Is a connection-based transport service that provides guaranteed delivery, preserving the order of packages and management data flow. Thus ensures reliable (unlike UDP) interchange between pairs of processes on the hosts connected to different, but related networks.
TCP is used by applications that need connection oriented transport service with a guarantee of delivery-HTTP, FTP, SMTP, TELNET, etc.
